Bicycles are often touted as the most eco-friendly transportation of all. It is much more efficient than walking, and creates zero emissions. But I’m scared. The cars really scare me. Lately I’ve encountered several bikers in Miami, and I’ve told them my fears. Instead of receiving a reassuring, "Oh, don’t worry about it," I receive a, "Yeah, it’s really dangerous." Hmm.
Today I came across a site via Hugg (like Digg, but just for eco-stuff) called, Bicycle Safety: How Not to Get Hit by Cars. This sounds like what I need! (Besides, of course, a bike.) The site goes through 10 types of collisions and how to avoid them, including the Red Light of Death and the Wrong Way Wallop.
