Rebecca Carter, the founder and editor of greenerMIAMI, moved to Miami, Florida in July 2005. She lives with her husband and sons Oliver and Alec.
Born in Boston, Rebecca’s family moved to Sarasota, Florida at age ten. A proud Gator, she graduated from the University of Florida with a marketing degree. After four years of working in corporate America, she decided to leave in search of something different. She began blogging in early 2005. Soon after, her interest in the environment, once strong in college, was rediscovered somewhere between Mexico and Miami.
Rebecca was recently featured in the book Hot, Rich, and Green. She is one of 70 eco-achievers featured in Glamour magazine in April 2009, named Best Environmentalist by Miami New Times Best of 2008, and one of EarthFirst.com’s Hottest Girls in Green. In addition to greenerMIAMI, Rebecca is co-founder of ecorazzi, a celebrity blog that covers the latest in green gossip. Rebecca speaks fluent English and Spanish. She has lived in 11 cities in two countries.
