It passed the House, now on to the Senate. Here is the email I received from the Earth Day Network:

Dear Earth Day Network activist:
Many thanks to all of you who called your member of Congress on the important global warming legislation last week. Thanks to your efforts the bill passed, 219 to 212. The bill will still have to be strengthened in the Senate.
The climate bill passed by the House is an historic and reasonable measure that will move the U.S. closer toward a new green economic future. The bill goes a long way toward creating an economic model based on renewable energy that will reduce greenhouse gases.
This bill encompasses the latest in climate science and provides us with a good starting point for further climate action. We applaud Chairmen Waxman and Markey for their long standing leadership on global warming and for their hard work on the legislation
The American Clean Energy and Security Act will create millions of new clean energy jobs, and contrary to what opponents have claimed, it will actually save consumers hundreds of billions of dollars in energy costs. In addition, it will help us work toward America's energy independence and move our country away from fossil fuels.
