It's Art Basel time again, Miami! This year, there are several green events happening around the famous art show.

Green Art Fair is happening through December 7, 2008 at 3100 Midtown Blvd. Daily, $15. It's solar powered!

There are some cool things happening during the event:

  • The Miami EV Project is showing off their recently converted car. Danny Alva and Donato Helbling, two friends who have come together to create the Miami EV Project, converting a regular ol' gas car into an electric vehicle in just 70 days. Their goal is to keep the ball rolling and educate the rest of us on how to do it.
  • Connect Florida is hosting a special event to learn how to incorporate green into your everyday life. Thursday, December 4, 6:30-8:30pm. $25.

The Green Project is also happening nearby at 64 NW 29th St. The admission cost is simply "an open mind". Local artist Xavier Cortada will have an installation on site.

Happy Green "Arting"!

  1. Wow, this looks awesome! I’m going to be sailing in the Bay tomorrow, perhaps I’ll stop by in the evening.
Thank you for the heads up!
