If have a green business and would like to be represented at November’s Great Green Family Festival at Fruit & Spice Park…you’d better hop to it! A hundred bucks plus tax will get you a spot. You provide your own tent, tables, etc.

Vendor Packet. And see below for further details on the event.

From the press release:

The Redland Evening Herb Society, the premier
provider of education and information on all aspects of herb uses and natural living,
announced a co-sponsorship with Miami-Dade County Parks’ Fruit and Spice Park, of the
first annual Great GREEN Family Festival. This is the first festival of its kind to be held at
this prestigious venue, world renowned for its collection and presentation of tropical fruits,
spices, and foliage.

The two day event, to be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16, 2008,
will play host to up to 100 local sustainable and environmentally friendly vendors, selling
everything from local and organic produce to medicinal herbs, oils, and teas. Educational
presentations and artistic exhibits on sustainability, fair trade, and conscious consumerism
will provide attendees with the knowledge they need to lead a more sustainable existence.
Entertainment and children’s activities will also be available, within the park’s lush
surroundings.

“We anticipate an attendance of five to eight thousand people,” said Kristin Jayd
Jimemez, the program coordinator for The Redland Evening Herb Society. “We’re partnering
with sponsors who contribute to the health and vitality of the community, and we expect
this to serve as the premier green event in Miami Dade County.”
