Grand Shoe Archway at EarthFest Will Show Reuse

GreensneakerOne of the many cool features of EarthFest this coming Sunday will be the "Sole of Our Path". Instead of a grand archway made of balloons to welcome you to Miami’s Earth Day festival, you will be welcomed by many many little shoes.

Says art teacher & creator Meme Ferre, it "will be a portico of creativity made out of previously owned shoes by students at North Beach Elementary on Miami Beach, FL. The purpose of the portico is to pave the path of progression, enabling all participants to envision that they are the future stewards of sustainability."

I can’t wait to see it. Join us for EarthFest this Sunday, April 22 from noon to sundown @ Crandon Park North Beach entrance, Key Biscayne. See earthfest.us for more info.
