We’ve implemented a calendar feature on our right hand sidebar, below the google search. These events are uploaded by greenerMIAMI. Events will not necessarily be mentioned in specific posts, but they are all in line with making Miami a bit greener. Events could be lectures, workshops, volunteering opportunities, festivals, movie releases, you name it. If you have an event to add, please email us.

Wow, that’s cool. I’ve been reluctant to add a calendar to CM because I’m concerned it’ll be a lot of work (ie i’ll be inclined to add more and more stuff to it) vs. how much people use it. But this way of doing it looks very reasonable. Too bad Upcoming doesn’t let you tweak the color scheme.
I originally wanted the Google Calendar, for which they have an API, but that’s still to complex for me. This isn’t bad. I think they’ll let you tweak more things in the future…I believe it’s a pretty new thing. I found that I needed something because I’ve missed posting about two adopt-a-trees, among other things.
I am interested in finding out more information on the power plant in Felspar Florida which is recycling their CO2 emissions into an algea growth tank to “super-stiumlate” the algea to produce oil which is then harvested and producing bio-fuel from the by-product. There was a piece on this power plant on the local news Tuesday Dec. 2nd. Can you please point me in the right direction ?
