I don’t think that the Miami Dade poster is correct. If you check this page, http://www.miamidade.gov/derm/tips_yard_care.asp you’ll see that there are guidelines from Miami Dade county on Yard Care that suggest composting.

Is that really true that Miami Dade doesn’t allow home composting?!?!? That seems absurd.
If it’s not true, I was hoping to start container composting at the back of the building where I live in Miami Beach, but needed some better advice, perhaps a good resource to learn how to do it as well as the affect of the hot and humid FL climate. Anybody?

Dade county does not allow home composting, as Team Metro has cited my parents for maintaining a home barrel composter and turning rack. 250.00 fine plus extra fines. The county of Miami-Dade does not want composting, according to Joseph Mesler.
