I’d be a terrible Green Blogger if I didn’t mention Earth Day, which is tomorrow, April 22. I’ll be at Baynanza, picking up trash so that it doesn’t go into Biscayne Bay.
What you can do to celebrate Earth Day:
- Join GreenerMiami’s Litter Free Miami Pledge…it expires on Earth Day. 14 more people are needed to make it a success.
- Maybe just show up or register now for Baynanza, at one of the sites still listed on their website? Registration ended a little while ago, but you might still be able to participate tomorrow, from 9am – 12pm.
- Check out & participate in Clean Da Beaches 2006.
- Go to a comedy show for free if you own a hybrid. 2 for 1 if you bring earth?
- Attend an Earth Day Silent Art Auction Fundraiser, 7pm-11pm, run by Inner City Outings.
- Do something on your own that salutes the environment!

Rebecca, hope you had a great earth day! I am still hobbling on my sprained ankle and never made it to clean up, although I promise to pick up a piece of trash even if we didn’t make the pledge.
I also want to applaud you on all your reporting efforts. I see this blog going a very long and wonderful way to raising awareness!
