I’d like to send out a Boooo! to Jenny Tower, a new high-rise tower (not sure if it’s built yet?) near Jackson Memorial Hospital and Cedars Medical Center.
Yesterday I was visiting the Jackson Memorial complex and was greeted by many (I would say around 50) fliers all over the ground.
I would like to encourage Jenny Tower to change their practices, along with any other company that uses fliers as a publicity and advertising method, to realize that most fliers handed out go directly onto the ground. Not only is it wasted money & effort for the company trying to get the word out, it creates a lot of unnecessary trash & litter.
Additionally, I would like to ask everyday people that are offered fliers not to accept them. If you accept them and are not interested in the product or service, please return the flier to the person handing them out. And finally, if you DO accept the flier and you DON’T return it to the person, at the very least, please put that flier in a trash receptacle.

Boooo! posts will focus on negative actions by companies or individuals that GreenerMiami would like to see changed.
I don’t think Jenny Tower should be blamed. If Jenny Tower is to blame for fliers on the floor we should blame every single company that advertises for polluting our streets. Included in those polluters are grocery stores (bags all over the place), and so on and so forth. I agree that they should have better advertising practices but so should the rest of the companies out there.
